Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
