The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
