At length when the messengers arrived among the adherents of Lut, 61 He said, "Indeed, you are people unknown." 62 They said: Nay, we have come to you with that about which they disputed. 63 and we have come to you with the truth, and surely we are truthful, 64 "Then travel in a part of the night with your family, and you go behind them in the rear, and let no one amongst you look back, but go on to where you are ordered." 65 And We decreed unto him this commandment because the last of those was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. (* To the house of Prophet Lut.) 67 He said, “These are my guests – do not dishonour me.” 68 Have fear of God and do not humiliate me". 69 They (people of the city) said: "Did we not forbid you to entertain (or protect) any of the 'Alamin (people, foreigners, strangers, etc. from us)?" 70 He said, "Here are my daughters, if you must act in this way." 71 By your life! they were blindly wandering on in their intoxication. 72 At sunrise a dreadful Shout seized them. 73 We laid it (the city) upside down and rained stones of baked clay upon them. 74 Behold! in this are Signs for those who by tokens do understand. 75 This (city) lies on a road that still survives. 76 Lo! therein is indeed a portent for believers. 77 And the people of Aykah were also wrong-doers. 78 and We took vengeance on them. The two of them were upon a roadway manifest. 79
