Pray, “My Lord! If You show me the promise they are given,” 93 O my Lord, do not put me among the harmdoing people' 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Repel, by [means of] what is best, [their] evil. We are most knowing of what they describe. 96 And say: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from suggestions of the evil ones, 97 and I seek refuge with Thee, O my Sustainer, lest they come near unto me!" 98 Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back, 99 That I may do some good I did not do (in the world)." Not so. These are only words he utters. Behind them lies the intervening barrier (stretching) to the day of their resurrection. 100 There will be no kindred relations nor any opportunity to ask about others or seek their assistance after the trumpet has sounded. 101 Then as for him whose good deeds are preponderant, these are the successful. 102 whereas they whose weight is light in the balance - it is they who will have squandered their own selves, [destined] to abide in hell: 103 the fire will scorch their faces, and they will abide therein with their lips distorted in pain. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 'Lord' they will reply, 'adversity prevailed over us and we were erring. 106 "Our Lord! bring us out of this: if ever we return (to Evil), then shall we be wrong-doers indeed!" 107 [But] He will say: "Away with you into this [ignominy]! And speak no more unto Me! 108 Among My servants, there were those who said, "Lord, We believe, so forgive us and have mercy on us. You are the best one to show mercy." 109 Then ye took them mockingly, so that they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, and at them ye were wont to laugh. 110 I have rewarded them this day for they were constant, and they have come to attainment." 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They shall say, 'We have tarried a day, or part of a day; ask the numberers!' 113 He will say: Ye tarried but a little if ye only knew. 114 Deem ye that We have created you in vain and that unto Us ye are not to be returned? 115 So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne. 116 Whoever worships another god apart from God, for which he holds no proof, will have to account for it before his Lord. Verily the unbelievers will not prosper. 117 And say, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful." 118
Almighty Allah's Truth.
