The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The decree of God is at hand, so do not seek to hasten it. Holy is He, and exalted far above what they associate with Him. 1 He sends down the angels with the Spirit (Gabriel) by His command to those of His worshipers whom He chooses, (saying:) 'Warn, there is no god except Me, therefore fear Me' 2 He hath created the heavens and the earth with a purpose. Exalted is He above that which they associate. 3 He created man out of a [mere] drop of sperm: yet he shows himself to be openly contentious! 4 And He created the cattle for you; you have in them warm clothing and (many) advantages, and of them do you eat. 5 how pleasant they look when you bring them home in the evenings and when you take them out to pasture in the mornings. 6 They carry your heavy loads to lands which you would not have been able to reach without great difficulty. Your Lord is certainly Compassionate and All-Merciful. 7 He created horses, mules and donkeys for riding and for splendour. He created other things too which you do not know. 8 And Allah's is the direction of the way, and some (roads) go not straight. And had He willed He would have led you all aright. 9
