The dwellers in the wood (of Midian) denied the messengers (of Allah), 176 When Shu'aib said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 179 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 Weigh your goods with proper balance 182 Wrong not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. 183 “And fear Him Who created you and the earlier creations.” 184 They said: "Thou art only one of those bewitched! 185 for thou art nothing but a mortal like ourselves! And behold, we think that thou art a consummate liar! 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said: "My Lord is the Best Knower of what you do." 188 But they gave him the lie. And thereupon suffering overtook them on a day dark with shadows: and verily, it was the suffering of an awesome day! 189 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 190 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
