The Pharaoh and his people had also received Our warning, 41 They belied Our signs everyone thereof; whereof We laid hold of them with the grip of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are your people who deny the truth better than those? Or have you been given immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 Rather, the Hour is their encounter. And that Hour will be most calamitous and bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are misguided and insane. 47 on the Day when they are dragged into the fire on their faces, it will be said to them, "Now feel the touch of Hell!" 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 Our commandment is but one word, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 Thus, indeed, did We destroy people like you [in the past]: who, then, is willing to take it to heart? 51 And everything they have wrought is in the Writs. 52 And everything small and great is written down. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 Firmly established in the favour of a Mighty King. 55
