Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 noble, recording, 11 Who know what you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
