The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And no trifle. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
