Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yea, verily. We are Able to restore his very fingers! 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 So, when the sight shall be dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30
