Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 can lure away from God any 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 and we glorify God". 166 And surely they used to say: 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 will certainly be victorious 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
