Al-Bayyinah

Proof (Al-Bayyinah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Divorce (Al-Talaaq) before Exodus (Al-Hashr)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

The deniers of truth from among the People of the Book and the polytheists would not desist from disbelief until they received clear evidence -- 1 An messenger from Allah, rehearsing scriptures kept pure and holy: 2 Containing correct and straight laws from Allah. 3 Those to whom the Book was given did not divide themselves until the Clear Proof came to them. 4 They were only commanded to worship God, be uprightly devoted to His religion, steadfast in prayer and pay the zakat. This is truly the eternal religion. 5 Those who disbelieved – be they from among the People of the Book or among those who associated others with Allah in His Divinity– shall be in the Fire, and will abide in it. They are the worst of creatures. 6 [And,] verily, those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds - it is they, they who are the best of all creatures. 7 Their recompense is with their Lord; Gardens of Eden, underneath which rivers flow, where they shall live for ever. Allah is wellpleased with them, and they are wellpleased with Him. That is for he who fears his Lord! 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
