Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 separating one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 till a known term decreed? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
