The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 Who determines and directs, 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
