The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 by the Promised Day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
