The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
