Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
