O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 Then they cut their affair among them in regard to the Scriptures; each band in that which is with them rejoicing. 53 So leave them in their confusion for a time. 54 Do they imagine that the wealth and children We have provided 55 We are hastening to reward them for good deeds? No. They do not comprehend. 56 Those who tremble with fear of their Lord; 57 And those who believe in the communications of their Lord, 58 and those who associate naught with their Lord 59 And those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord;- 60 those, hasten in good works, outracing to them. 61 And We task not any soul except according to its capacity, and with Us is a book speaking with truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 Aye! their hearts are in bewilderment in respect thereof, and they have works beside that, of which they are workers. 63 To the extent that when We seized the wealthy among them with punishment, they immediately began imploring. 64 'Groan not today; surely you shall not be helped from Us. 65 Surely My signs have been rehearsed unto you, and upon your heel ye were wont to draw back. 66 in arrogance, as if you were abandoning a story-teller. 67 Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? 68 Or is it, perchance, that they have not recognized their Apostle, and so they disavow him? 69 Or do they say, "He is possessed"? Nay, he has brought them the Truth, but most of them hate the Truth. 70 Had the truth followed their fancies, the heavens, the earth, and all who live in them would have surely been corrupted. No, We brought them their Remembrance; but from their Remembrance they turn away. 71 Or, do you ask a tribute from them? Your Lord's tribute is better. He is the Best of providers. 72 And verily, thou callest them onto a straight way 73 But those who do not believe in the Hereafter have indeed deviated from that path. 74 ۞ And though We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, still they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 until We open before them a gate of harsh punishment and then they will be dumbfounded. 77
