The Mountain (Al-Toor)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the Mount (of Revelation); 1 And by the Book Inscribed. 2 In parchment unrolled. 3 by the Visited House, 4 by the elevated canopy; 5 And the swollen sea, 6 Indeed your Lord’s punishment will surely take place. 7 there is none to prevent it. 8 The day the sky will tremble, 9 And the mountains will fly hither and thither. 10 Woe will be to those who rejected the Truth 11 Those who sport entering into vain discourses. 12 On the Day when they shall be thrust into Hell with a violent thrust (and shall be told): 13 "This is the fire which you were wont to call a lie! 14 Is this magic, or do ye not see? 15 Burn in its heat. It is all the same for you whether you exercise patience or not; This is the recompense for your deeds". 16 Indeed the pious are in Gardens and peace. 17 Rejoicing because of what their Lord gave them, and their Lord saved them from the punishment of the burning fire. 18 Eat and drink with relish for that which ye have been working. 19 Reclining on ranged couches. And we wed them unto fair ones with wide, lovely eyes. 20 And those who believe and whose offspring follow them in Faith, to them shall We join their offspring, and We shall not decrease the reward of their deeds in anything. Every person is a pledge for that which he has earned. 21 And We will aid them with fruit and flesh such as they desire. 22 They shall there exchange, one with another, a (loving) cup free of frivolity, free of all taint of ill. 23 ۞ And there go round, waiting on them menservants of their own, as they were hidden pearls. 24 They will converse with one another, putting questions to each other, 25 saying, "We were afraid while in the world. 26 “So Allah did us a great favour, and saved us from the punishment of the flame.” 27 Indeed, we used to supplicate Him before. Indeed, it is He who is the Beneficent, the Merciful." 28
