And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
