Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
