Hizb 46

And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 When he ran away (like a slave from captivity) to the ship (fully) laden, 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
