We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
