Al-Qalam 2 of 2
For those who fear God there are pleasure gardens with their Lord. 34 Should We treat those who submit and obey in the same way as those who are culpable? 35 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 36 Or have you, perchance, a [special] divine writ which you study, 37 That indeed for you is whatever you choose? 38 Or have ye a covenant on oath from Us that reacheth to the Day of Judgment, that yours shall be all that ye ordain? 39 (Muhammad), ask which of them can guarantee that on the Day of Judgment. 40 Or have they other gods? Then let them bring their other gods if they are truthful 41 (Remember) the Day when the Shin shall be laid bare (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) and they shall be called to prostrate (to Allah), but they (hypocrites) shall not be able to do so, 42 Their eyes will be humbled, and humiliation shall spread over them for they were already ordered to prostrate themselves when they were undiminished. 43 Therefore, leave Me with he who belied this discourse. We will draw them on little by little from where they do not know. 44 Yet I bear with them, for lo! My scheme is firm. 45 Askest thou a hire from them so that they are laden with debt? 46 Or is the Unseen theirs that they can write (thereof)? 47 Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muhammad], and be not like the companion of the fish when he called out while he was distressed. 48 Had not Grace from his Lord reached him, he would indeed have been cast off on the naked shore, in disgrace. 49 Then his Lord chose him and placed him among the upright. 50 The unbelievers wellnigh strike thee down with their glances, when they hear the Reminder, and they say, 'Surely he is a man possessed!' 51 But it is not except a reminder to the worlds. 52

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
