Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 for an appointed time? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
