The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 when they were seated around it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
