And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the hills, (wherein they dwelt) secure. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 By your Lord, We will question them all 92 For all that they used to do. 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
