Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)? 24 When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown. 25 Then he turned to his household, so brought out a roasted calf [as the property of Ibrahim (Abraham) was mainly cows]. 26 and placed it before them. "Will you not eat?" he said, 27 Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). 28 Thereupon his wife approached [the guests] with a loud cry, and struck her face [in astonishment] and exclaimed: "A barren old woman [like me]!" 29 They answered: "Thus has thy Sustainer decreed; and verily, He alone is truly wise, all-knowing!" 30 ۞ Said [Abraham]: "And what [else] may you have in view, O you [heavenly] messengers?" 31 They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;- 32 to bring down upon them showers of marked lumps of clayy. 33 Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). 34 So We evacuated everyone who was a believer there, 35 – and We did not find there any, apart from a single house of Muslims – 36 and left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 And also in Moses, when We sent him unto Pharaoh, with a clear authority, 38 The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". 39 So We seized him and his hosts, and We cast them into the sea, and he blameworthy. 40 And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind: 41 which turned everything it approached into dust. 42 And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" 43 But they disobeyed the command of their Lord; so they were destroyed by a thunderbolt, and they could only gape, 44 So they were not able to stand, nor could they help themselves. 45 And the folk of Noah aforetime. Lo! they were licentious folk. 46
