The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
