Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 The revelation of the Scripture whereof there is no doubt is from the Lord of the Worlds. 2 Do they say that he, (Muhammad), has invented it? No, it is the truth from your Lord so that you will warn the people who have not received a warning before you. Perhaps they will seek guidance. 3 It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth, and all what is between them, in six days, then (befitting His Majesty) established Himself over the Throne (of control); leaving Allah, there is neither a friend nor an intercessor for you; so do you not ponder? 4 He plans (all) the job(s) from the heaven to the earth – then it will return to Him on the Day which amounts to a thousand years in your count. 5 That is He, the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen, the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 6 The One Who created all things excellent, and Who initiated the creation of man from clay. 7 Then made his offspring from the extract of base fluid, 8 Then He moulded him; He breathed His Spirit into him; He gave you hearing, sight, and hearts. How seldom you are grateful! 9 And they say: What! when we have become lost in the earth, shall we then certainly be in a new creation? Nay! they are disbelievers in the meeting of their Lord. 10 ۞ Say, "The angel of death will take you who has been entrusted with you. Then to your Lord you will be returned." 11
