Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 separating one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 when heaven shall be split 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known calculated term. 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
