The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
