Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 They used to say before: 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
