WITH ALL THIS, man [often] says, "What! Once I am dead, shall I again be brought forth alive?" 66 Does man not remember that before We created him he was nothing? 67 By your Lord, We will bring them back to life with satan and gather them around hell in large groups. 68 Thereafter, We shall surely draw aside, from each sect, whichever of them against the Compassionate were most in excess. 69 We alone know who deserves most to be burned therein. 70 There is not one of you but will pass over it (Hell); this is with your Lord; a Decree which must be accomplished. 71 And once again: We shall save [from hell] those who have been conscious of Us; but We shall leave in it the evildoers, on their knees. 72 When Our clear verses are recited to them the unbelievers say to the believers: 'Which of the two parties has a better position or company?' 73 And how many a generation have We destroyed before these, who were goodlier in goods and outward appearance? 74 Say: "If any men go astray, (Allah) Most Gracious extends (the rope) to them, until, when they see the warning of Allah (being fulfilled) - either in punishment or in (the approach of) the Hour,- they will at length realise who is worst in position, and (who) weakest in forces! 75 And Allah will increase the guidance for those who have received guidance; and good deeds that remain have the best reward before your Lord, and the best outcome. 76 And hast thou ever considered [the kind of man] who is bent on denying the truth of Our messages and says, "I will surely be given wealth and children"? 77 Has he gained knowledge of the unseen, or made a covenant with the Beneficent Allah? 78 Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall lengthen the length of his suffering [in the hereafter,] 79 and We shall inherit all the resources and hosts of which he boasts, and he will come to Us all alone. 80 For [such as] these have taken to worshipping deities other than God, hoping that they would be a [source of] strength for them. 81 No, indeed! They shall deny their service, and they shall be against them pitted. 82
