And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 The Trusted Spirit hath brought it down. 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. 202 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many years 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn your nearest relations, 214 and be meek to the believers who follow you. 215 If they disobey you, say: 'I am quit of what you do' 216 And put your trust in Him Who is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate, 217 who sees you when you stand 218 or move during your prostration with the worshippers. 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every great accuser, extreme sinner. (The magicians) 222 They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets - it is the seduced who follow them. 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 And they say what they do not do, 226 Save those who believed and worked righteous works and remembered Allah much, and vindicated themselves after they had been wronged. And anon those who do wrong shall come to know with what a translating they shall be translated. 227
True are the words of God the Almighty.
