Say: "I am only a warner, and there is no other god but God, the one, the omnipotent, 65 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Mighty, the most Forgiving. 66 Say: "This is a momentous message, 67 from which you are turning away. 68 "I had no knowledge of the chiefs (angels) on high when they were disputing and discussing (about the creation of Adam). 69 Only this has been revealed to me that I am a distinct warner. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man from clay; 71 So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him (his) soul created by Me, then you fall down prostrate to him." 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. 74 Said He, 'Iblis, what prevented thee to bow thyself before that I created with My own hands? Hast thou waxed proud, or art thou of the lofty ones?' 75 Answered [Iblis]: "I am better than he: Thou hast created me out of fire, whereas him Thou hast created out of clay." 76 [Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled. 77 And surely My curse is on you to the day of judgment. 78 He said, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection". 79 (God) said: "You have the respite 80 till the Day the time whereof is known [only to Me]." 81 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "By Your Might, then I will surely mislead them all, 82 Save Thy single-minded slaves among them. 83 [And God] said: "This, then, is the truth! And this truth do I state: 84 “That I will fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all together.” 85 SAY [O Prophet]: "No reward whatever do I ask of you for this [message]; and I am not one of those who claim to be what they are not. 86 Lo! it is naught else than a reminder for all peoples 87 You will come to know its truth in time." 88
