The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 and gathered his people together 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. 26
