Surely the people of al-Hijr also rejected the Messengers, calling them liars. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 Like as We sent down on the dividers 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 As to what they did. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 We suffice you against those who mock, 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99
