The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 by the promised day, 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
