1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
I told them, "Messengers, eat from the pure things and act righteously; I know all that you do. 51 And verily! This your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me. 52 Then they cut their affair among them in regard to the Scriptures; each band in that which is with them rejoicing. 53 So leave them immersed in their heedlessness till an appointed time. 54 Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, 55 We hasten unto them with good things? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Surely those who tremble in fear of their Lord 57 Who believe in their Lord's revelations, 58 And they who do not associate anything with their Lord 59 And those who give that which they give with hearts afraid because they are about to return unto their Lord, 60 those, hasten in good works, outracing to them. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a Book with Us which speaks the truth, and they shall not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do,- 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 “Do not implore this day; you will not be helped by Us.” 65 Surely My signs have been rehearsed unto you, and upon your heel ye were wont to draw back. 66 “Priding yourself in serving the Sacred Mosque; at night you utter indecent stories in it, while discarding the truth.” 67 Was it that you did not give any thought to it (the Quran)? Was it different from what was revealed to your fathers? 68 Or did you not recognize your Messenger and, thus, denied him (Muhammad) 69 Or do they say: There is madness in him? Nay! he has brought them the truth, and most of them are averse from the truth. 70 Had truth been subject to their whims the heavens and the earth and all those within them would have been depraved. In fact We had sent them their reminder, but they turned away from good advice. 71 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers. 72 And most surely you invite them to a right way. 73 and surely they that believe not in the world to come are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ And though We have mercy on them We may remove whatsoever of hurt is with them, surely they would persist in their exorbitance, wandering perplexed. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of severe punishment, then lo! They will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair. 77
