3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
