The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 by those that swim serenely 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 and gathered his people together 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
