Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 and I am devising guile. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
