Al-Haaqqah 2 of 2
I swear by that which ye see. 38 And what you do not see, 39 that this is the speech of an honourable Messenger, 40 And it is not the speech of a poet; how little do you believe! 41 Nor the word of a soothsayer; little do you remember. 42 (This is) a Message sent down from the Lord of the Worlds. 43 And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings, 44 We would have seized him by the right hand; 45 And We should certainly then cut off the artery of his heart: 46 And none of you could withhold Us from (punishing) him. 47 And lo! it is a warrant unto those who ward off (evil). 48 We certainly know that some among you do deny it. 49 And indeed it is a despair for the disbelievers. 50 And most surely it is the true certainty 51 Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 52
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
