The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 177 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 178 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. 181 Weigh with correct scales: 182 and do not deliver short, and do not go about creating mischief in the land, 183 And guard against (the punishment of) Him who created you and the former nations. 184 They said: "You are no more than one of those who have been bewitched, 185 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. 186 So cause thou a fragment of the heaven to fall upon us, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 187 (Shu'aib) said: "My Lord knows well what you are doing." 188 Then they branded him a liar, whereupon the chastisement of the Day of Canopy overtook them. It was the chastisement of a very awesome day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 And most surely your Lord is Mighty, the Merciful. 191
