Say: 'I am only a warner. There is not any god but God, the One, the Omnipotent, 65 Lord of the heavens and earth, and of what between them is, the All-mighty, the All-forgiving.' 66 Say, "This is momentous news, 67 from which you are turning away.” 68 I had no knowledge of the chiefs on high when they disputed; 69 Only this has been revealed to me that I am a distinct warner. 70 When thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay. 71 and when I give it proper shape and blow My spirit into it, bow down in prostration to him," 72 The angels fell down prostrate, every one, 73 except Iblis who puffed himself up with pride and became a disbeliever. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 He said: I am better than he: me Thou hast created of fire, and him Thou hast created of clay. 76 He said: Go forth from hence, for lo! thou art outcast, 77 And verily My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Requital, 78 He said: my Lord! respite me till the Day whereon they are raised up. 79 so He said, "You are granted respite 80 till the Appointed Day." 81 He said, “Therefore, by oath of Your honour, I will surely mislead all of them.” 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 He (Allah) said: 'This is the truth, and I speak the truth: 84 That I shall fill hell with thee and with such of them as follow thee, together. 85 Say: "I do not ask any compensation of you for it, nor am I a specious pretender. 86 It is but a reminder to the worlds. 87 "And ye shall certainly know the truth of it (all) after a while." 88
