۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Bestowed the Qur'an, 2 He created the human 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance 7 So that none may err against the scales, 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 There exists all kinds of fruits, palm-trees with sheathed blossoms, 11 And also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-scented plants. 12 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. 22 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 23 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
