Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a known calculated term. 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
