The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 And the second followeth it, 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
