The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Recite: In the Name of thy Lord who created, 1 created man out of a germ-cell 2 Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 a servant when he prays -- 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 and enjoins piety? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 Nay! obey him not, and make obeisance and draw nigh (to Allah). ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
